DEDICATED TO YOUR DENTAL NEEDS
Having spent at least one week every summer for as long as I can remember in the Uinta mountains, I couldn’t wait to get an opportunity to live and work on the Back of the Wasatch. So much so I moved my family up here and have commuted to Salt Lake and Utah counties for 3 years waiting for the right opportunity to come! Now that it has I couldn’t be more excited to join Snow Country Dental Care.
During my five years in practice I have learned that what brings me the most satisfaction is getting to know and visiting with my patients while providing honest, compassionate care. I was originally pursuing a PhD in Ecology when I realized that I didn’t want to spend too much time alone in my office doing research and writing, but wanted more human interaction. So I gave up my fellowship and moved my young family of 4 across to the country to the University of Maryland. We enjoyed our time on the East Coast but couldn’t wait to get back to our families, friends, and outdoor opportunities we find our now family of 6 ourselves surrounded by.
In addition to patient interaction, I also very much enjoy that dentistry allows me to fix things. As a dentist I get to help people fix a smile they don’t like, a tooth that is hurting or broken, infection that could potentially cause even more damage, replace missing teeth among other things. The variety of procedures is what appeals to me as a general dentist. During my five years I’ve worked at offices that focus on family dentistry, implant dentistry, large extraction cases and more. Having had this variety of experiences has helped me figure out what I enjoy best, and the work we do at Snow Country fits into my skills and interests perfectly.
Outside of work most of my time is spent with my my wife and 4 children. We enjoy supporting their soccer games and other activities, as well as camping, hiking, fishing and playing tennis. I haven’t persuaded any of them to take up golf yet so that’s how I spend my me time.
